Do You Need Help With Your Utility Bills?

We wanted to share some helpful resources that may be useful for you or someone you know. New Jersey offers several programs to help with energy costs, weatherization, and utility protections. Here’s a quick overview:
📞 NJ 2-1-1
Dial 2-1-1 anytime, day or night, for free and confidential referrals to local health and human service assistance. You can also search online at www.nj211.org.
(Funded by the United Ways of NJ in partnership with the State of New Jersey)
❄️ Winter Termination Program (WTP)
WTP protects eligible households from utility shut-offs between November 15 and March 15 for gas, electric, water, and sewer services.
You may qualify if you participate in:
  • USF, LIHEAP, Lifeline, PAAD, Work First NJ/TANF, or SSI
  • Any state, local, or utility program that provides assistance or discounted utility rates
  • Or if you’re facing financial hardship beyond your control
👉 To enroll: Call your utility company to request WTP protection.
More info: 800-624-0241 or NJ Board of Public Utilities.
🏡 Weatherization Assistance Program
Helps qualified low-income households save energy and lower heating costs by:
  1. Providing a free home energy audit
  2. Installing recommended energy-efficiency upgrades at no cost
If you apply for USF or LIHEAP, you can check a box to request weatherization.
🌞 Community Solar Program
Participating households can save 15–25% on electricity bills by using solar power from local solar panel projects.
💡 Comfort Partners Program
A free energy-saving and education program for qualified low-income customers. Services may include energy-efficient appliance replacements at no cost.
Call 1-866-378-4345 or visit www.njcleanenergy.com to apply.
